WindowMirror's Butterfly was first conceived to support the needs of persons living with Alzheimer's and dementia. While the scope of Butterfly extends far beyond the culture of dementia, by building through the lens of the dementia experience we are creating something that will be intuitive, adaptive, predictive, and engaging for everyone.
AI-based virtual assistants are evolving quickly, and Butterfly seeks that level of engagement; so we are putting great effort into making Butterfly emotionally intelligent – able to pick up on subtle cues in speech, heart math, and analyze sentiment to assess a person's mood and feelings.
Butterfly will impact person-centered wellness and health by reading into vocal tone, utilizing natural language processing (NLP) to detect depression, or potentially even underlying chronic conditions such as heart disease or Alzheimer's and other dementias.
We are using NLPs, like sentiment analysis algorithms, to dive into user generated content, understand if it's positive or negative, feelings or memory, and pull key data points related to health related symptoms/side effects; and run NLP with biometric analysis to add to the context of health language and better understand if there is an association or consistency with certain feelings and memories and biometric levels.
With a focus on person-centered care, the use case scenarios are evident, and the same approach extends into use-case scenarios for athletes, meditation, prayer, holistic and preventative medicines and approaches.
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), asses needs as your child makes progress and face new challenges, as new instruction techniques and technology become available. We believe Butterfly NLPs and predictive/deep learning algorithms can support the development of a child’s first IEP and continue to grow refine and adapt as the child develops, accelerated through AI engagement. Deep learning AI bots provided through the Butterfly experience will support annual updates and revise the IEP to reflect current strengths and needs, based on quantifiable data, supporting thorough evaluations as required every three years.
